Operation Baghdad Pups

This site is getting it's own category because I feel it serves such an important service.

When our soldiers adopt the local strays they find or rescue - the benefits are huge. We all know how it feels to come home at the end of a long day to that happy tail wagging pet, full of unconditional love. Now imagine how that would feel to a soldier at the end of a day at war in a foreign land away from home and family.

Additionally, when the soldier is able to return home with their adopted pet, they are bringing with them an emotional support system -a source of love and joy to help comfort them as they adapt to civilian life again.

As for the pets, these are animals whose fate is often abuse, torture or death if left behind. Our soldiers are giving them a chance for a better life.
