Healthy skin provides an important barrier to many contact germs and bacteria. When the skin is very dry or cracked, it provides easy access for germs and bacteria to enter the body.
As bathing may remove the skins protective oils, it is very important to apply a moisturizer immediately after bathing or washing hands and face to maintain this soft, healthy barrier.
But remember too, that a good diet, excercise and drinking plenty of fluids are the most important steps to healthy, youthful skin!
